Zhejiang achieves fruitful results at 6th CIIE
East China's Zhejiang province reaped tremendous benefits from the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE), which concluded in Shanghai on Nov 10.
A total of 15,000 buyers and 42,000 people from Zhejiang participated in procurement. For significant investment and trade projects in Zhejiang, the initial batch of procurement contracts amounted to 2.65 billion yuan ($363.31 million). The Zhejiang trade delegation, during the centralized signing of import procurement contracts, successfully reached intended transactions totaling 15.42 billion yuan.
Throughout the CIIE, Zhejiang signed contracts for 24 major projects, including 20 significant foreign-funded projects with a total investment of 25.31 billion yuan.
Under the theme "Dynamic Zhejiang," the Zhejiang delegation showcased a special area dedicated to intangible cultural heritage and time-honored brands, with 67 local companies participating, with over a third of them making their debut at the expo.
Additionally, Zhejiang presented 27 interactive projects, featuring skills like the craftsmanship of Longquan celadon and traditional qipao (cheongsam) production techniques, during the event.
