The 6th World Textile Merchandising Conference, set to take place in the Keqiao district of Shaoxing in November, has attracted tens of thousands of textile industry elites from over 50 countries and regions around the globe.
This event shows the growing influence of Keqiao, also known as the "International Textile Hub."
In 2022, the online and offline turnover of China Textile City, located in the Keqiao district, exceeded 330 billion yuan ($45.15 billion).
"Our digital logistics port project involves an investment of approximately 4 billion yuan, comprising four major areas, including the public intelligent three-dimensional warehouse, logistics warehousing area, customs bonded area, and supporting business district," said the head of the China Textile City administrative committee.
In September, the 2024 Spring/Summer Milan Fashion Week was held in the fashion capital of Italy. On the opening day, the "Keqiao Day" event of Milan Fashion Week marked the first-ever participation of this traditional Chinese textile powerhouse during Milan Fashion Week.
Foreign designers participating in "Keqiao Day" expressed their satisfaction with the quality of Keqiao fabrics, emphasizing that the materials not only meet their design and creative needs but also create more opportunities for in-depth cooperation between Chinese enterprises and the international fashion industry.
As the world's largest textile trading and distribution center, Keqiao's economic and trade network spans 210 countries and regions.
