The Jimingshan residential community in Yiwu, Zhejiang province, held a legal education activity on immigration and emigration regulations on July 25.

Officers from the Yiwu Exit-Entry Border Inspection Station explained the responsibilities of the National Immigration Administration, as well as entry and exit procedures, residence permits, and legal liabilities for foreigners.

They also provided clarifications on legal issues frequently encountered by foreigners.

During the event, a Syrian surnamed Mike was seen assisting fellow foreign residents with their queries. "I have been in China for a considerable amount of time, and I have a good understanding of many basic legal matters. Attending this activity not only enhances my legal knowledge but also allows me to help others," he said.

Yiwu is renowned as the "World's Capital of Small Commodities," with 2.1 million types of products exported to over 230 countries and regions worldwide.

The Jimingshan residential community, being in close proximity to the Yiwu International Trade Market, is home to nearly 2,000 foreign nationals from 74 countries and regions, earning it the nickname "United Nations Community."
