Ningbo launches night market for young job hunters

Ningbo, Zhejiang province launched a night market and job fair in Yinzhou district on July 11, which was popular among young people.

The night market, called the "Young Talent Night Market", is a actually a large job fair held for young people. Fifty local enterprises, including Loctek, China-Base Ningbo Group, and Chisage Holding Group, are offering more than 700 jobs at the market.

On the first day, the market attracted nearly 1,000 young job hunters, over 600 of which have reached an initial agreement with companies.

"It's awesome that we can seek job opportunities while having a cup of coffee at the night market. It integrates nighttime activities that are popular among young people with important stuff like finding a job," said Yang Wei, a college graduate from Taizhou.

In addition to the job opportunities, the market also offers summer internships for college students.

"It's our creative attempt at a job fair. We hope that we can offer more opportunities and attract more young people by combining job hunting with recreation," said Hu Dongping, deputy director of the Yinzhou District Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security.
