Flavor giant opens production base in Jiaxing

Mane Flavor & Fragrance Group, a global leader in the fragrance and flavor industry, has invested $90 million to establish a modern flavor and fragrance factory in the Pinghu Economic and Technological Development Zone in Jiaxing, Zhejiang province.

The new company, called Mane (China) Flavor & Fragrance Co Ltd, is Mane Group's latest investment in China and the first French investment project in the Pinghu Economic and Technological Development Zone.

The company will mainly engage in the production, processing and sales of flavors and fragrances. The factory covers an area of 100 mu (6.67 hectares) and is expected to have an annual production capacity of up to 15,600 metric tons of flavors and fragrances.

It is expected to reach its full production capacity by the end of this year, and is expected to achieve an annual output value of 700 million yuan ($97.78 million).

Mane Flavor & Fragrance Group was founded in 1871 and has been involved in the fragrance and flavor industry for more than 100 years. It mainly produces raw materials for fragrances, daily use chemical fragrances and edible fragrances. It has set up 27 factories and 50 research and development centers in 32 countries, and its products are sold in more than 70 countries and regions.
