Chinese badminton team wins Sudirman Cup

The Chinese badminton team won the 2023 BWF Sudirman Cup for the third time in a row by defeating South Korea 3-0 in the final held at the Suzhou Olympic Sports Center in Jiangsu province on May 21.

It was the 13th time for the Chinese team to top podium in the world mixed team championships, making China the most successful nation in the tournament's history.

Huang Yaqiong, and Zheng Siwei, the world's top mixed doubles pair, won the first match against South Korea's Seo Seung-jae and Chae Yu-jung with a score of 2-1, getting the Chinese badminton team off to a good start.

In the second match, Chinese men's singles ace Shi Yuqi defeated Lee Yun-gyu of South Korea with a score of 2-1.

In the third match, Chen Yufei defeated An Se-young of South Korea with a score of 2-1.
