Lishui city enterprises shine bright at China-CEEC Expo
The ongoing 3rd China-CEEC Expo and International Consumer Goods Fair – also known as the China-CEEC Expo – kicked off on May 16 in the port city of Ningbo in East China's Zhejiang province.
Fifteen foreign trading enterprises from Zhejiang's Lishui city are participating in the expo, which runs to May 20.
Among the 2,300 standard booths at the expo, the one for manufacturer Zhejiang Nengfu Tourist Products Co Ltd is said to stand out. A raft of bright and breezy outdoor leisure products – such as reclining chairs and patio umbrellas – have been arranged creatively. They're proving to be an eye-catching sight that is drawing in lots of buyers and visitors.
"We are a foreign-oriented enterprise specializing in the production of outdoor leisure and camping products," said Li Wei, chairman of the company.
"Our products are mainly sold to Europe and America and our foreign trade sales reached 260 million yuan ($37.02 million) last year," he added.
The company was established in 1982 and was once a traditional bamboo and wood concern in Longquan, a county-level city under Lishui's administration. Many years ago, it encountered overseas business opportunities at an exhibition and embarked on the road to 'going out'.
"By participating in this expo, we hope to expand into more markets in countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative," Li said.
Besides those goods going out, there are also products coming in. At the expo, 24 buyers from Lishui bought high-quality products – such as wine, coffee, honey, jewelry and handicrafts – from Central and Eastern European countries.
