The project's goal is to create a vivid urban block. CHINA DAILY
The project is in the south of Hangzhou Olympic and International Expo Center, next to the Hangzhou International Expo Center, with a total construction area of 184,500 square meters.
The project's goal is to create a vivid urban block, connected to the city and to build a very dense program of public sports facilities that is environmentally respectful. The tower is striated along a ramp that serves as a pedestrian walkway linking the park to the roof of the complex.
The different mobility modes are a key point to the site access and landscape organization.
The training center is inspired by "Yucong", the ancient jade jar, the building has a simple and smooth appearance. The tower evokes a symbolic link between earth and sky: the park and the roof belvedere. The shape is a very stable square shape with a dynamic public ramp to represent the sport functions.
As a result, the tower will become an urban landmark for the inhabitants and an exemplary sample of design that is respectful of traditional Chinese culture and environment expressed in a contemporary architectural vocabulary.
