Zeekr 009, an MPV from Geely's premium electric Zeekr brand, has been chosen as the official vehicle of the 19th Asian Games which will kick off in September in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.

The electric MPV will serve as the shuttle vehicle for members of the International Olympic Committee, the Olympic Council of Asia as well as renowned athletes at the Hangzhou Asian Games, said the carmaker.

The Zeekr 009 is the brand's second model, built on Geely's Sustainable Experience Architecture. It features CATL's Qilin 3.0 batteries, which enable the model to have a range of 822 kilometers on one charge.

Zeekr started deliveries of the model earlier this year. Last year, Zeekr's overall sales totaled over 71,000 units. It expects deliveries to double the figure in 2023.
