A ceremony bidding farewell to a delegation of trade firm representatives in Yuecheng district, Shaoxing, East China's Zhejiang province, which will participate in Heimtextil, an international exhibition for home and contract textiles held in Frankfurt, Germany, from Jan 10 to 13, was held on Jan 4.

The visit is the first organized by Yuecheng as part of its new-year plan to organize for hundreds of firms to go overseas to secure more business. More overseas destinations are being planned.

Shaoxing AIYU Hometextile Co Ltd is among the firms set to attend the textile fair in Germany. Hu Yongjun, general manager of one of the firms, said he is confident about sales figures, as his company prepared to show its latest products at the expo.

Hu expressed thanks to the local commerce bureau for its help in applying for visas and registering for the fair.

"The whole preparation process was easy, and all of the company's exhibits have been sent to the destination. The booth is already ready, too," said Hu.

In the first quarter of this year, Yuecheng will help its trade firms attend 11 international textile exhibitions.
