As the world's first import-themed national exhibition, the 5th China International Import Expo (CIIE), sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, will be held at the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Shanghai) from November 5 to 10, 2022, and will help stabilize market expectations and promote economic growth.

East China's Zhejiang province held a press conference on the preparations for the 5th CIIE on Oct 25. Zhejiang has completed the construction of an exhibition area of more than 3,300 square meters and organized professional procurement for nearly 40,000 visitors, and the amount of intended procurement will exceed $4 billion. The exhibition area, the number of purchasers registered and the amount of intended procurement are among the highest in the country.

This year, CIIE will adopt online and offline integration, focusing on a technology and equipment exhibition area and setting up a digital platform. Zhejiang trade mission will carry out transactions with exhibitors through the online platform.

Zhejiang will hold 30 key supporting activities during the 2022 CIIE.
