Mount Jinhua has become a popular tourist destination for locals in Jinhua this summer holiday, with over 500,000 tourists escaping the summer heat at the mountain with a peak altitude of 1,314 meters.

Statistics showed that the number of tourists increased by 29.6 percent compared to the same period in 2019, thanks to colorful cultural and tourism events and promoted camping facilities on the mountain.

The Mount Jinhua Xiaoxihu Camping Base is located in the West Lake Forest Area of the Shuanglong Scenic Area at Mount Jinhua. It is the first camping base located in a forest in Jinhua.

The campsite can accommodate more than 250 tents and over 20 ecological tree houses at once. With about 1,000 meters of altitude and over 90 percent vegetation coverage, the average temperature at the campsite is 8 to 10 degrees Celsius lower than at the foot of the mountain in summer.

In addition, events such as the fifth Mount Jinhua Forest Camping Festival and Dragon Boat Festival were enough for many families to spend many hours at the site.

Officials from the Shuanglong Scenic Area said that reconstruction has been carried out at many sightseeing spots inside the scenic area in order to make full use of natural resources and make the scenic area more attractive to young people.
