The opening ceremony for the Quzhou Song Dynasty Cultural Relics Exhibition was held on July 27 at the Quzhou Museum in Quzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, according to local media reports.

Over 200 cultural relics from the Song Dynasty (960-1279) including gold, silver, bronze, jade and ceramic wares as well as inscription rubbings and ancient books will be on display during the exhibition.

Eleven of the relics are designated as national first-class cultural relics, and some of them will make their debut at the exhibition.

For example, a 2-centimeter-long golden baby sculpture, a national first-class cultural relic, is on show at the museum. During the Song Dynasty, it was mostly given to relatives and friends during Chinese Valentine's Day as a gift.

The exhibition will run until August 23.
