A photography exhibition marking the 50th anniversary of the normalization of diplomatic ties between China and Japan is currently underway at the Zhejiang Art Museum in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province.

The exhibition, titled "Four Seasons in Tochigi Prefecture", showcases 50 photographic works about the natural scenery, folk customs and culture of Tochigi prefecture, Japan.

Located in central Japan, about 100 km north of Tokyo, Tochigi prefecture has a population of 1.91 million and is surrounded by mountains on three sides. Tochigi is part of the capital metropolitan circle and the prefectural capital is the city of Utsunomiya.

Zhejiang province and Tochigi prefecture established friendly relations in 1993.

Organizers of the exhibition hope to further deepen Chinese people's understanding of Japan and promote wider exchanges between China and Japan, and between Zhejiang and Tochigi, through the exhibition.

The exhibition started on June 24 and will end on July 9.
