Hu Qingyu Hall Chinese Traditional Herbal Medicine Museum
Located at the Drum Tower Grand Street in downtown Hangzhou, the Hu Qingyu Hall Chinese Traditional Herbal Medicine Museum is a key cultural relics and historic site.
The exhibits provide an introduction to Chinese herbal medicine and showcase the history and development of the Hu Qingyu Hall, specimens of herbal medicine, as well as ancient workshops.
The museum was founded in the 13th year (1874) of the reign of Emperor Tongzhi of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). It was one of the first museums to be inscribed on the national intangible cultural heritage list in 2006. In 2018, the site was designated by the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine as a national promotion and education base for TCM culture.
