A collection of contemporary Italian sculptures started a China exhibition tour on Friday in the Zhejiang Art Museum in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.
The exhibition, themed Gazing of Tranquility, put on display 35 wood carvings and seven stone carvings created by eight contemporary Italian sculptors, including Aron Demetz, Bruno Walpoth and Gehard Demetz.
After Hangzhou, the exhibition will continue its tour in the cities of Central China's Wuhan and South China's Guangzhou.
Bruno Walpoth's works were once put on display in the Zhejiang Art Museum in 2016 and well received.
"Since the show, we had been thinking about a larger exhibition of contemporary Italian sculptures," said Ying Jinfei, the curator of the museum.
The exhibition is meant to demonstrate the ingenuity of Italian sculptors, according to Ying.
