Hangzhou in East China's Zhejiang province plans to upload data about all the historic buildings in the city online to facilitate digital management.

The city currently houses 1,606 historic buildings featuring research value, regional features, local culture and folk customs, or relations with historical figures and events.

The districts and counties in Hangzhou are busy with surveying and architectural drawings.

Yuhang district uses three-dimensional laser scanning techniques, panoramic photography, and aerial photography by drones to completely record the status of local historic buildings, while Xihu district uses 3D environment modeling technology to restore the surrounding environment of local buildings.

Surveys and architectural drawings about 646 buildings have been finished, while profiles about 743 buildings have been created.

In the near future, people can access information about all the historic buildings in Hangzhou online.
