Zhejiang is pursuing development out of the province and expanding opening-up to make its circle of friends ever larger. Zhejiang's exports rose 9.1 percent year-on-year to nearly 2.52 trillion yuan in 2020. Ningbo-Zhoushan port has ranked first in the world for 12 consecutive years in terms of cargo throughput. A world-class green petrochemical base is being built in the Zhoushan Free Trade Zone, and the "Yiwu-Madrid" freight train is in normal operation, creating new legends along the Silk Road.
