The Standing Committee of the 13th Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress, the province's legislature, released its annual work report during the fifth session of the 13th Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress, which was held in Hangzhou from Jan 26 to 30.

Deputies to the congress reviewed the report and many of them spoke highly of Zhejiang's advancement in legislative work over the year of 2020.

One highlight of the legislative work repeatedly cited by the deputies was the promulgation of a provincial regulation to promote the digital economy last year, which made Zhejiang the first provincial-level region in China to legislate for digital economy development.
