Hangzhou to hold 2020 Silk Road Week

Highlights of the event will include two exhibitions -The Silk Roads: Before and After Richthofen, which will illustrate a history of academic studies on the Silk Road, and Mutual Learning on the Silk Roads: Stories of the Silk Road Treasures, which will feature 20 cultural relics from nearly 20 museums along the Silk Road.
The China National Silk Museum will issue a report on the cultural heritage of the Silk Road for the year 2019, and an international cooperation project on silk maps of the world will be launched. Initiated and directed by Chinese scholars, the project will be carried out in many countries.
In addition, there will be a workshop for those behind themed exhibitions and academic studies on the Silk Road to share their ideas.
The China National Silk Museum, in partnership with other museums, universities as well as internet celebrities, has been carrying out a series of activities online since May 13 to promote the event, such as a short video competition.
