A new Jinhua People's Hospital branch started operating on June 16 in Jinhua. With a floor area of 287,000 square meters, it is currently the largest healthcare complex in Zhejiang province.
The new hospital was co-built by the Jinhua government and WZ Group, a Hangzhou-based supply chain service provider. The two parties expect it to be a 3A-grade hospital, the second highest level in China’s four-tier hospital ranking system.
It is nearly 10 times the size of the old hospital and has 2,400 parking spaces. It is also equipped with many high-tech medical devices.
In addition, the new hospital provides VIP services for several departments, including the obstetrics department, and plans to add several elderly care centers in the future.
"The hospital's operation philosophy and management model will be different from the old hospital," said Wang Tingge, chairman of WZ Group, who added that his company will help introduce highly skilled medical workers and improve hospital management.
Wenzhou Medical University signed a deal with the hospital that same day agreeing to contribute to the development of the hospital in terms of technology, discipline management, and talent cultivation.
