Azaleas bloom in Taizhou

Many azalea trees have recently entered their flowering period in Taizhou. Here are some recommended places to admire the bright-colored flowers.
1. Huading National Forest Park
The best time to admire azalea blossoms in the Huading National Forest Park ranges from late April to mid-May.
The park has an altitude of 1,098 meters and is home to the main peak of Tiantai Mountain. Its azalea trees have an average age of 200 years, with the oldest being 1,000 years old. The admission fee is 50 yuan ($$7.24) per person.
2. Guocang Mountain
Located in Linhai, a county-level city in Taizhou, Guocang Mountain has an altitude of 1,382.4 meters and is the highest mountain in southeastern Zhejiang. The mountain is renowned for its sunrise, clouds, windmills, and azalea blossoms.
The best time to view the azalea blossoms is late April. It is open to visitors for free.
3. Daopeng Mountain
Daopeng Mountain, located in Dongping village, Hengdu town, Sanmen county, is a perfect place to admire wild azalea blossoms. It has more than 1,000 mu (66.66 hectares) of azalea trees.
Mid-April to mid-May is the best time to view the flowers.
4. Fangshan Mountain
Fangshan Mountain in Wenling county is the largest volcanic platform in Asia. The mountain is shaped like a box and it has a large supply of magnificent azaleas.
The best time to view the flowers is from late April to the beginning of May.
