President Xi Jinping visited the country's first national wetland park - the Hangzhou Xixi National Westland Park - in East China's Zhejiang province on Tuesday amid his inspection tour to the province.

At the wetland park, he learned about its protection and development. Covering an area of 11.5 square kilometers, it became China's first national wetland park in 2005.

Xi also visited the Hangzhou City Brain Operation Command Center, where he learned how the "city brain" is used to promote the modernization of the city's governance system and capacity.

In 2016, Hangzhou city government declared the "city brain" plan to use more data to build an intelligent city. The "city brain" system covers 11 areas, including police, traffic, tourism and health.

Tuesday marks the third day of Xi's inspection tour to Zhejiang. He went to a village in Anji county and stressed the importance of ecological protection on Monday. He visited a port and an industrial park in Ningbo on Sunday and voiced more support for small and medium-size enterprises there.
