"We gathered the resources from the Party organizations, the Red Cross organizations, enterprises and our people to provide facilities and services concerning law, psychology and healthcare for community residents," said Chen, adding that people who do voluntary work in the community will be given credits to exchange for goods such as jackets and trousers at a center.
Chen told China Daily that they've installed three automated external defibrillators, a crucial first-aid equipment for saving the life of a patient suffering from a sudden acute myocardial infarction before the arrival of ambulances. Over 2,000 people in the community have been trained in using AEDs.

Since the Zhejiang branch of RCSC proposed to strengthen the building and development of grassroots organizations in 2018, more than 13,200 organizations with around 261,000 adult members had been built in villages, townships and communities by September 2019.
