China's first Beidou navigation application center to open in Wuzhen

China's first application center for its homegrown satellite navigation system Beidou will begin operations in Wuzhen town, Tongxiang, Zhejiang province, in a few days, just before the sixth World Internet Conference opens in the town on Oct 20.
The center was launched earlier in April at the 2019 Global Industrial Internet Conference in Wuzhen.
The center will showcase the history of Beidou as well as some of the cutting-edge Beidou navigation products, according to organizers.
Visitors will have the chance to learn about space equipment through an electronic touch screen.

In addition, there will be a special room for visitors to experience a space journey through VR technology.
Visitors will also have the chance to attend science education salons, seminars and lectures. Astronomers and astronauts will be invited to talk face to face with the public, and a series of aerospace cultural products will be launched.
