A town themed on Yueju Opera in Shengzhou, Zhejiang province, will soon be unveiled.

The town, with a planned area of 3.68 square kilometers, is designed to be a platform which will present opera culture and landscapes in Shengzhou and artists from around the globe will be able to hold exchanges on opera development. Shijiaao village, where China's female Yueju Opera originated, is the center of the town.

The town will combine the opera culture and idyllic landscapes in rural Shengzhou with the aim of reviving people's original sensations toward their lives.

越剧小镇，位于越剧的故乡，浙东要津——嵊州。她在百年戏台旁再造世界舞台，将越地生活的精髓融入街坊里巷。它以越剧为核心，引入世界经典戏剧，打造戏剧文化产业链，创造超越时空的文化旅游体验。

小镇将融汇古典与现代的乌托邦精神和桃花源的梦想，将宅院、农庄、田园、街巷、剧院、山水完美相融，营造一个人文、艺术、休闲、旅游、度假于一体的理想小镇。
