The first session of the 12th Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) concluded in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on Jan 29.

A new lead group led by Ge Huijun, chairman of the 12th Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the CPPCC, was elected at this year's session. Members of the Zhejiang CPPCC passed the resolution proposed by the new group at the closing ceremony.

Che Jun, Party secretary of Zhejiang, extended his congratulations for the success of the session and the election of the new leaders. He said the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the CPPCC has made great contributions to the province's development and he hoped it would continue its close cooperation with the Communist Party of China.

Ge pledged to continue and improve upon the work of the CPPCC in the future, promising that the new lead group will guide the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the CPPCC in making Zhejiang's next chapter even better and promoting socialism with Chinese characteristics.
