Tongde has cooperated with South Korea's Dongshin University and Kyung Hee University since 2014. It has launched joint medical centers in four hospitals affiliated with Dongshin University. Tongde also sends doctors to work there and provides internships for students from the two universities.

Jiang Yihua, head of the hospital's Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, said that traditional medicine enjoys great popularity among the public in South Korea.

Traditional medicine in China, Japan and South Korea all belong to the category of Eastern medicine, and therefore it is easy to promote TCM in these countries, Jiang added.

In a well-known clinic in Copenhagen, Denmark, there is a native doctor with the Chinese name Long Mading. He graduated with a major in tuina from Zhejiang Chinese Medical University in 2009 and has now become a famous TCM doctor renowned for his acupuncture and tuina skills.

Long Mading said TCM has certain advantages in treating chronic diseases, so he is encouraging more people in Denmark to learn about it.

Zhejiang Chinese Medical University has trained more than 5,000 students from around 60 countries and regions since 1985. About 600 international students attended the university last year. It has established a Confucius Institute at Coimbra University in Portugal, and a TCM center at "Vasile Goldis" Western University in Romania.

In addition, the university has cooperated with over 90 medical and research organizations in around 30 countries and regions.
