As the project develops, more TCM experts from Zhejiang will visit Belarus. At present, another five TCM centers are planned to open across the country, following the one in Minsk.

A similar TCM center will open in Tel Aviv, Israel in four months. The project will be carried out by the Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of TCM and its Israeli counterparts in order to promote cooperation on clinical treatment, talent training and legislation.

It is the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine's first international cooperation project in Israel, a country which is part of the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative.

In early 2008, Israel sent college students and doctors to study and work in the Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of TCM. Locals are now becoming familiar with TCM, as the exchange program has developed quickly in the past 10 years.

"Almost every clinic in Israel has doctors who have received training in the Zhejiang Provincial Hospital of TCM, and some of them have even become notable TCM doctors or teachers," said Huang Qi, Party chief of the hospital.

According to the China-Israeli TCM Center Program, a TCM education center will be established in Israel's Reidman College, where people studying TCM will receive training. Zhejiang's TCM technology will be promoted in over 70 clinics across the country through a cooperation project with a local medical center.

Six students from South Korea's Dongshin University have finished their two-week internships at Zhejiang Province's Tongde Hospital. One of them said that he wanted to apply the TCM techniques he learned in the hospital to clinical treatment. According to him, the techniques can relieve the pain caused by anesthesia.
