If the internet-based hospital opened in Wuzhen, Zhejiang province two years ago has written a new chapter in displaying China's efforts of integrating the internet with medical treatment, the freshly-completed traditional Chinese medicine branch is definitely a stirring episode.
The TCM center, which also settles in Wuzhen and finished construction on Nov 22, is paying tribute to the upcoming fourth World Internet Conference (WIC), as well as the Wuzhen internet-based hospital, pacesetter of the rising industry which received 7.68 million patients in the first half year of 2017 and realized a daily maximum reception of 72,000 patients.
The TCM center, designed with an area of 4,500 square meters, will make its debut at WIC on Dec 3.
Centered on the idea of "TCM, Internet and AI", the center features four service and experience areas displaying China's profound medicinal history, its various genres and traditions, wide range of applicable materials, creative and intelligent treatment, and TCM's cultural export to Belt and Road countries.
Veteran doctors will also be invited to the center, offering professional diagnosis, treatment and health-keeping services for the patients.
Weiyi (Chinese "微医"), the center's online portal, will help answer the patients' calls with convenient and efficient methods, as they can get timely and professional treatment from some 60,000 doctors across China's over 500 TCM hospitals, without the need to pay any field visits.
