Hangzhou silk company eyes new technologies
Like many Chinese exporters, Hangzhou Wensli Silk Group has long used low prices to boost its international business. In recent times the company has begun to utilize new technologies to further its development.
"The increase of our international business can’t be separated from [the use of] new technologies," said Ma Tingfang, manager of the group.
Wensli has acquired 10 million dollars from the global market since it started business on international e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Alibaba in 2015.
"Exporting silk is not easy," Ma introduced, "Customers from different countries have different needs."
Wensli strives to develop more high-quality products to meet global customers. One area that has proved particularly popular is two-sided digital silk printing with the company perfecting the technology to ensuring the brightness on both sides.
