Weltmeister Motor (WM), a smart electric vehicle maker from Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, will set up its second overseas base in the Republic of Croatia after the success of its first research institute in Germany.
The project is expected to start construction in the second half of this year, said Freeman Shen, founder and CEO of WM, following a meeting with Marija Pejčinović-Burić, Croatia's State Secretary for European Affairs, in Beijing on May 15.
Pejčinović-Burić was attending the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation which took place in the capital city on May 14 and 15. Both sides talked about WM's project in Croatia and exchanged ideas on technology, talent development, and trade cooperation.
