As a traditional custom to celebrate Spring Festival, residents of Licun village in Jiande, Zhejiang province fish in a shallow pond on Jan 10.

More than 30 villagers took part in this year's fishing activity which is said to have a history of more than 800 years. The fish they caught will be delivered to local citizens according to the population of each family.
