Global summit delves into cross-border electronic commerce

Representatives from e-commerce giants also shared their practical experience at the summit. Zhang Yong, CEO of Alibaba Group, aroused attentions by announcing the upcoming establishment of the first eWTP (the Electronic World Trade Platform) experimental zone in cooperation with China (Hangzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Area.
Zhang said the eWTP will be a chance to help create a new global economic system with high efficiency, complete transparency and no barriers. "Many companies keep watchful eyes on the development of e-commerce and consider transforming and upgrading themselves with the power of Internet. The eWTP is a chance for them to go global." he said.
Representatives from Belt and Road countries like Singapore, Malaysia and the Republic of Belarus expressed their expectations for close cooperation with Zhejiang province and the whole of China to build an online Silk Road at the summit.
