The arrival of winter is a great time to view stunning frost covered landscapes in the mountain areas across Zhejiang province. Crystal icicles hang on the trees, covering the completely covering landscapes in silver and white.

Siming Mountain

The hairpin turns on the cliffs of Siming Mountain, the ancient villages and crystal brooks are enveloped by rime when winter comes. The white ice forms when water droplets surrounding branches of trees meet with cold air.

Yandang Mountain

The mountainous scenery of Yandang Mountain in Yueqing county is unique and splendid – the peaks, waterfalls and caves set it apart as the most important mountain in southeast China.

After the first snowfall in Yandang Mountain, the trees on the eastern peak are encrusted with frost, glistening in the sunlight.
