Wuzhen offers warm welcome to WIC despite the early winter
The third World Internet Conference will be held in Wuzhen, East China’s Zhejiang province, from Nov 16 to 18.
The ancient water town has been upgraded into an intelligent town after years of development. Wuzhen has 26 ten-gigabit optical cables connected to it. The town is home to many Internet programs, such as 5G car networking system, and other Internet Plus smart projects are springing up, including artificial intelligence, data services, and healthcare.
Smart parking robots in the spotlight
With the help of smart displays and an enhanced parking system, drivers enter into the interaction area to get codes for car selection. Robots then transport the cars to designated parking places, and the whole process only takes three minutes.
Scanning the code also triggers the robots to bring the cars back to their owners.
Wu Yuanhai, the leader of the invention team of HIKVISION, a Hangzhou Based digital technology company, expressed his wish that all the visitors of the 3rd WIC can experience the convenience of the world’s first smart parking robots.

Big data exchange center shines
Zhejiang Big Data Exchange Center, which opened on Sept 26 and had a first day business volume totaling 2 million yuan ($300,000), has also become a hot topic of this WIC.
It is the single government-approved big data exchange center in Zhejiang, also an innovation transaction platform of data-based services.
It aims at exploring new ways of helping companies analyze and integrate their data as well as providing support services.
Positioned to be an open, objective, independent national third-party data exchange center, it is expected to play an active role for storage, clearance, analysis, exploration, and exchange of big data in Zhejiang and across China.
The data exchange between different industries will also help the country to upgrade traditional companies, and integration with government data can provide better services in various fields, including medical treatment, social insurance, public transportation, education, and employment.

Internet Plus aids the elderly
Wuzhen has initiated an innovative program that integrates the Internet, medical treatment, and care for older residents, helping to realize the goal of full coverage for medical services and care for the elderly in every household and community.
Through the online cloud platform, they have developed a comprehensive service for the elderly and remote medical services. The offline service centers are found at community health service stations and endowment stations for the elderly at home. However, by using Internet of Things (IOT)-based household appliances and health management APPs in every family, the health conditions of every senior citizen can be tracked continuously and recorded in personal digital health profiles.
The online platform gives heath evaluation, chronic disease management, and health data monitoring services, and Wuzhen hospitals offer online registration, diagnosis, and experts’ lectures.
The offline endowment centers establish personal health profiles, also provide rehabilitation and door-to-door services; health service stations offer general practice services, prescriptions, and medicines.
Thus the whole endowment and health treatment is perfectly connected through the Internet.
