Germany 

Angela Merkel 

China is willing to maintain close communication and coordination with Germany for a successful G20 Summit in Hamburg next year, President Xi Jinping said. 

China will not change its stance of firmly supporting the European integration process and believes that Europe is capable and wise enough to face the challenges, Xi said. 

German Chancellor Angela Merkel said that Germany is willing to strengthen high-level communication and cooperation in trade and investment with China. 

Spain 

Mariano Rajoy 

The Chinese government is willing to encourage domestic companies to invest in Spain as the two countries are seeking to boost bilateral ties, said President Xi Jinping. 

Xi said that the two countries should cooperate more in areas such as finance, telecommunication and renewable resources, adding that the Yiwu-Madrid freight train connection should be fully employed to continuously enlarge trade volume. 

Spanish acting prime minister Mariano Rajoy spoke positively of China's efforts in dealing with current economic challenges, adding that his country is willing to enhance communication with China and develop trade, investment, culture and education. 

France 

Francois Hollande 

France has always been seen as an important strategic partner to China no matter how global situations change, President Xi Jinping said. 

Xi pointed out that China and the European Union have extensive common interests. China expects France to play a greater role in promoting the healthy development of China-EU ties, he added. 

French President Francois Hollande said that France pays high attention to its relations with China and is willing to promote cooperation with China in agriculture, food, nuclear power, tourism and the environment, as well as international and regional hot spot issues.
