Nestled in the southwest corner of eastern Zhejiang province, Liandu district is home to China’s most beautiful countryside and has been named a national ecological zone by the Chinese government. 

Nearly 80% of the area is covered by forests, which house 655 kinds of plants and more than 400 different animals.

The region has a population of 380,000, including 23,200 people of She, Hui, Miao and Zhuang ethnicity.
