Six lifelike statues of animals have been unearthed from a military commander's tomb in Ningbo, Zhejiang province. The statues, from former Guangdong naval commander Shen Xuan's tomb, are Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) relics. Jin Qijun, office director of Yizhou Cultural Relics Management Committee, said the tomb dated back 200 years, according to the record on a stone tablet.
The stone-carved statues of two tigers, two sheep and two horses, were transferred to Shen Guang-wen Memorial Hall.
